FAQ'S


1. How long do I need to order a wedding gown?   The minimum delivery is 4 to 7 months. Deliveries due vary from one manufacturer to another. You should allow ample time over and above the delivery period for alterations and fittings

2. How long do I need to order a bridesmaid dress?  The minimum delivery is 8 weeks to 12 weeks. Although some manufacturers offer rush express service, a premium would have to be added to the regular selling price.

3. What size ranges do you carry?  In our bridal gown department we carry from size 8 to size 20 in stock. Some styles are available for ordering up to size 44.

4. What is your price range on wedding gowns?
  Our price range is from $700.00 to $4,500.00

5. What is your price range for bridesmaids?  Our price range is from $200.00 to $600.00

6. Do your bridesmaid's dresses come in different colours?   Yes, the majority of bridesmaid manufacturers offer up to a dozen colours.

7. Do you custom make wedding gowns?
   Yes, we can custom make the wedding gown of your dreams. Please bring in a picture or give us some ideas of details so that we can create your design.

8. Is it possible to make any changes to gowns on your website or stock?
   Yes we do style changes for customers on premises since most manufacturers don't allow for any changes.
9. Do you provide alterations?   Our in store alteration department can custom fit any of the merchandise we sell. Charges are based on the work that needs to be completed.

10. Do I need an appointment?   We prefer an appointment so that we can provide a more personal service experience, as well as directing you to which times would be better. Occasionally we may run behind during busy times, but we will try and make your wait as short as possible.
11. Am I allowed to take pictures of gowns while I try them on?   Amanda-Lina's does not allow you to take pictures unless you
purchase the gown. After you purchase the gown, you can take as many pictures as you like.

12. Can my mother or mother-in-law find a dress at Amanda-Lina's too?   Amanda-Lina's has the largest selection of special order evening wear gowns to choose from. The prices begin at $600.00 and up . No appointment is required.

13. Do I have to pay for my gown in full at the time of purchase ?  Amanda-Lina's requires a 50% deposit to process a special order gown. The remaining balance is due within 30 days of us notifying you that your gown is in or at your first fitting whichever comes first. The purchase of a gown from stock MUST be paid in full. Sample gowns are final sale and must be taken home the same day and brought back for alterations.

14. There are so many dresses to choose from, where do I begin and what should I bring to my first bridal appointment?
  You can learn valuable lessons about how to find your personal style and get the dress you've always dreamed of by browsing through bridal magazines or on the Internet for silhouettes and styles that you like. Feel free to bring any pictures along with you to help guide your consultant. Once you come in for your bridal appointment, you can leave it up to the professionally trained bridal experts to help find the best gown for you.

15. When should I begin dress shopping?  It is best to start looking for gowns 6 to 9 months prior to your wedding date. The majority of our brides begin shopping 1 year ahead. That allows you enough time to narrow down your selection and order the gown of your dreams. Don't let the time bracket worry you because even if you do not have that much time there are a few different ways that Amanda-Lina's can accommodate you. We have gowns off the rack, and some designers that can fill a rush order for you.

16. When should I order my headpiece and veil?  Headpieces and special order veils should be ordered at least 3 to 4 months before your wedding date. We do not recommend waiting for your fitting to order headpieces. You need to make a separate appointment to view our headpiece department. If you bought your dress here, you can try on the sample while trying on headpieces as long as we did not sell the sample and we still have your dress in the store.

17. What information should a bride be prepared to share with a consultant when shopping for a gown?  Location of wedding, theme of wedding, vision for her wedding, gown budget, color and fabric preferences. Bring photos of gowns you like from magazines, websites etc.
